ISOLATION EP

Tiff Randol's EP "Isolation" is an experimental departure from previous work using modular synthesis, orchestral elements, and vocal textures to create a haunting and cinematic reflection of her experience during the pandemic.  

A delicate and introspective opening track, "Little Tiger," fuses vocal textures with electronic soundscapes to create the feeling of something being born.  Following it is  "Sleeping Spell,” a hypnotic composition reflecting the monotony of daily tasks. With Ro Rowan's driving cello refrains, layered over synthesizer textures, there is a feeling of tension throughout this piece with whimsical breaks that convey a dreamlike state.

"The Road Is Uncertain" takes us on an introspective journey up a winding mountainside path, inspired by Randol's daily walks during the pandemic. With moments of reflection and great tenderness, Rowan on cello and Lauren Conklin on violin guide us along this emotional and uncertain path.

"Be Steady" showcases IAMEVE's ethereal vocals, reminding us to remain true and to be steady even when the world feels like it's tumbling down. The blend of modular synthesis and orchestral arrangement creates a state of curiosity and magical wonder under the airy layers of vocals encouraging a peaceful state of surrender.

In a world where silence can feel awkward, "Isolation" finds comfort in the uncomfortable, exploring the ups, the downs and the in-betweens.
